Bush welcomed with violent communist protests

Members of the Student Federation of India, an affiliate student organization of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), burn an effigy of President George W. Bush during a demonstration in Calcutta, India, on Tuesday. Indian communist and Islamic leaders said they plan to greet Bush with protests against American policy in Afghanistan and the Middle East when he arrives later this week.

Communist Party of India activists, back, kick a fellow activist dressed as President George Bush, center, during a demonstration in Hyderabad, India, on Tuesday. Indian communist and Islamic leaders said they plan to greet him with protests against American policy in Afghanistan and the Middle East when the leader arrives later this week. At right is a girl dressed as "Mother India".

This behaviour of communists was expected irrespecitve of Iraq war, the recent India Iran relations, Bush's policies in Middle-east etc. The comrades are fighting the age old imperial force which 61% err... it just bumped up to 71% of Indians call it a friend! (This post will be updated as more violence follows).

Meanwhile, Newsweek magazine is flaunting India as a rising ally against communist China whereas treating Pakistan the same for war on terror.
