Rakesh Sharma's Final Solution - apparently wrong

Rakesh Sharma's 3 hour documentary "The Final Solution" (named after Nazi plans to exterminate Jews) is a study of politics of hate.

After watching the documentary, one can easily make out that it is a crude attempt to exemplify and exaggerate the reality to gain political mileage. There are a number of instances where the director attempts (but fails) to intentionally misinterpret Hindi/Gujarati speaking subjects. Out of context statements make up his case in a notorious manner.

Then there are completely unverified, false and politically charged statements used by communists against the BJP that make up large part of the documentary. For instance, the documentary claims that:

Narendra Modi introduced 7/8th grade history textbook that glorifies Hitler.

It, however, turns out that the books was actually prescribed under a Congress government in 1993 and can hardly, in any case, be pinned upon the incumbent chief minister [Source: Indian Express].
Fake human rights reports have been produced to pump up the number of dead, homeless, raped during gujarat riot in an attempt to liken it to genocide. Unlike the documentary, official figures of the number of dead is strikingly different: 254 Hindus, 790 Muslims where most of the 254 Hindus were killed in police firing. The documentary, with devious intentions, claims 2000 Muslims were slaughtered by Hindus. The BJP deputy leader in Lok Sabha, defending the Gujarat governments role, claimed that not a single person was killed in police firings in riots which occurred during earlier Congress regimes including the Bhagalpur violence and the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. Moreover, the documentary does not analyze social issues such as unemployment and crime gangs that openly take sides in communal riots, making the violence that much more bloody and vicious. [BBC].

Only a section of people are interviewed, restricting a broad view of the happening. It fails to address why exactly the Modi government was put back into power with 2/3 majority. Conversely, it claims that it was because the whole Gujarati Hindu community is fascist and communal!

At times it resorts to Indian judical hearings made against Modi to justify and give credibility to the documentary. At other times, however, Indian judicial system is vilified, demonized and its authority is questioned.

While this is all true, it is not suprising if one checks the director's background. Rakesh Sharma has close ties with communism inspired/soft cornered activists like Anand Patwardhan, Sandeep Panday, Medha Patkar, Teeta Setalvad and others. All these people are funded by AID and Singh Foundation (see guidestar.org) for these and other notorious projects.

What is true but not made obvious is their association with Communists party of India. The Marxist ideology is warm and hearty to all of them but ironically they are ashmed to admit it in public.

Thank you Mahatma Gandhi

While some 2.5 million Indians fought the war for British rulers, a few thousand men and women joined the Germany-Japan-Italy (Aix Powers) alliance, under Subhash Chandra Bose, hoping to overthrow the British rulers from India...

Though the war was not India's, Indians were among the most heroic, borne out by the fact that they won over 4,000 gallantry awards, among them almost 20 Victoria Crosses.

Over 36,000 Indians were killed. Official estimates put the wounded at 64,000.

Indian communists gave up quit India movement because the allied forces (British and Russian Marxists) were fighting Nazi Germany!

Javed attacks Fundamentalists

Javed attacks Fundamentalists

Javed Akhtar, (well known Bollywood lyricist), wants Muslims to fight fundamentalists.

There are many social causes to fight. But the biggest menace is fundamentalism's ugly face. So we must give people the right perception," said Akhtar.

Sadly, his definition of fundamentalists also include Sri Sri Ravi Shankar (also a world famous spiritual leader). Mr. Javed mian, along with wife Shabana Azmi, have made it a family business to attack the fundamentalists (Hindus) by calling Hindus and Hinduism in general, a hoax. Interestingly, Javed Mian also thinks that only Hindu's are fundamentalists whom the Muslim seculars should fight.

As noted earlier, Javed along with his secular band like Teeta Setalvad, Javed Anand and 9 other members of "Citizens for Peace and Justice" (a disguise?) have been handling the Best Bakery case and were instrumental in Modi's visa denail to US (along with US/UK members).

The Communist Parivar

A 2004 conference lays out organizational affiliation of the communist parivar (however divided they might be).

Political activist of parties like
CPI
CPI(ML)-Red Flag
CPI(ML)-New Democracy

Unions like
Ladaku Garment Union
Britania Employees Union
HLL Employees Union
General Insurance Employees Union
Sarva Shramik Sangh
TUCI

Democratic (if you will) organizations like
Lok Raj Sangathan
Maharashtra Jan Andolan
All India Youth Federation
Vidrohi
Ajinkya Pathak

Wikipedia has another good set of organizational layout of Communist Party of India... um.. Marxist. The CPI's uncountable splits and spills leaves one guessing on how ingenous the communists are - different name but same motto. Similar to Ram Bhakta's "Ram Tere Kitne Naam".

Splits and offshoots
A large number of parties have been formed from splits of the CPI(M), such as
Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist),
Marxist Communist Party of India,
Marxist Coordination Committee in Jharkhand,
Janathipathiya Samrakshana Samithy and
Communist Marxist Party in Kerala,
Party of Democratic Socialism in West Bengal,
Janganotantrik Morcha in Tripura,
the Ram Pasla group in Punjab,
Orissa Communist Party in Orissa, etc. etc. etc.

But hold your breath: There are hundreds more.
